Sunday Market Ahmedabad

Vagabonds meandering through the crowded ravivar market on a Sunday in Ahmedabad. It’s 528 year old living tradition, takes places on the river-front every Sunday. Merchants selling everything imaginable sit on comfortable charpoys and easy chairs. Clothes, vessels , trunks , animals, vintage , memorabilia. All you have to do is name it and somebody will point it out to you. The market has an inescapable charm, you will meet all kinds of people and animals starting off at normal and ending at obscure. Haggling is an important skill if you are to survive the market.  Gyrated around the market in a fast forward mode.  Tatterdemalion or the grungy look  is my strategy to survive the market next time around. I would love to go back and spend an entire evening taking a closer look at people and things in and around the place, hoping this will happen soon enough
